Shira Raviv Schwartz

As a veteran teacher and literacy specialist, Shira has worked with over 500 families in the Chicagoland area helping strengthen or gain IEP/504 educational plans.
Shira is also the mother of 3 children, all of whom have had school support plans. She has extensive knowledge of school teams and understands how to build partnerships for successful outcomes.
She is experienced in face-to-face meetings and can effectively handle tense and difficult interpersonal situations with full empathy and professionalism. Shira is skilled at strengthening, reviewing and guiding IEP plans for learning or behavior issues, anxiety, autism, ADHD, executive function, school refusal and other issues.
Shira serves as Vice President of Everyone Reading Illinois (formerly the Illinois Dyslexia Association), is a certified advocate and member of the Council of Parents, Attorneys and Advocates.
